shall we get high on truth?

No merecía tanto amor by Jesús Adrián Romero, Daniel Fraire, y Mike Rodriguez

I didn't write this song. This is one some Spanish people wrote and I heard it in Mexico and I cried the first few times I heard it. It's originally in Spanish so I will try to transilate to the best of my ability under the original.

En tu gran amor, tomaste mi lugar
Llevando sobre ti, mi culpabilidad
No lo puedo imaginar
Como fuiste a soportar
El dolor de tus heridas
Pues me amaste sin medida

coro:
Déjame hoy besar
Las heridas de tus manos y tus pies
Las heridas que pecando provoqué
Déjame reclinar
Mi mejilla en tus espaldas y llorar
Por haberlas lacerado en mi maldad
No merecía tanto amor

In you great love, you took my place
Taking upon yourself, my guiltiness
I can not imagine
How you could support
The pain of your wounds
You must have loved me without measure

corus:
Allow me to kiss today
The wounds in your hands and feet
The wounds I caused by sinning
Allow me to rest
My cheek on you back and weep
For having lashed it with my wickedness
I didn't deserve so much love

forgotten...

Here's another song. This one is kind of dark and it took me a long time to get my thoughts down on paper.

Check off the schedule
Read the Bible
Give thanks for the meal
Bid His hand to heal us but...

We say we're saved
We might mention His name
Cause our life we gave
But we have forgotten that...

Christ came to earth
To save a race without worth
Picked up our cross
Even as the ultimate cost
To brake us from our hopless curse
No matter if we're in the worst
Rejected death
With devine breath
But we have forgotten...

The Lord's supper we dine
Pass the blood-red wine
Ponder on the broken body
Jesus said, "Remember me" but...

Go to church on Sundays
Sing to God a praise
Hear what God's Word says
But we have forgotten that...

Christ came to earth
To save a race without worth
Picked up our cross
Even as the ultimate cost
To brake us from our hopless curse
No matter if we're in the worst
Rejected death
With devine breath
But we have forgotten...

Inside Out and Upside Down

This is the first "deep" song that I've writen. I was inspired to write it after noticing how diffent we are when we invite God into our every-day-lives. I have about five others right now but I don't have much time right now. Here it is:

With a brian-washed faith we jump into the sea
We think we'll swim our way to heaven and salvation we'll acheive
Why does everyone keep drowning
This concept I can't conceive
Then I grabbed onto a life line
And climbed aboard a boat called believe

And now I'm poppin inside out
My life is flippin upside down
What was once lost now I've found
My life is turning all around

What was logic now I'll doubt
What was whispered now I'll shout
What was fragile now is sound
My life is turning all around...
Inside out and upside down

With a proud striaght poise we're walking really tall
Without a person that we care about we think we're worth it all
Why are we always stuck by lighting
Now I'm on a constant fall
Then I listend to the thunder
Saying this ain't were you belong

Now I'm poppin inside out
My life is flippin upside down
What was once lost now is sound
My life is turnin all around

What was logic now I'll doubt
What was whispered now I'll shout
What was fragile now is sound
My life is turnin all around...
Inside out and upside down
